Red Sox @ Royals Preview

Wakefield is back on the hill tonight as the Sox try to keep their winning ways alive tonight as they play the Royals. Boston has won 10 of 11 and has all but wrapped up the Wild Card with a 8 game lead over Texas, while the Royals just want this year to end as they once again did not come close to making the playoffs.

Wakefield has been good when he pitches (11-4 4.22 ERA), but the problem is that he just can't stay on the field. His back is messed up, and it causes him pain in his legs, but once again the Sox have found a way to piece him back together for the start tonight.

Facing Wakefield is a familiar face in Lenny DiNardo. In short he is terrible and is really just there to eat up some innings for the Royals, who have been dealing with injuries all season. Boston should crush him, and with the way the offense has been playing they should easily be able to follow through.

Game starts at 8:10pm on NESN.
