Brad Penny Agrees With Cards

As long as Penny stays in the NL he will be fine. He proved last year with the Sox that he is too hot and cold when it comes to pitching in the AL, so St. Louis is a perfect match. Penny was 4-1 with a 2.59 ERA in six starts for San Francisco. He is 105-84 lifetime and won twice for Florida in its 2003 World Series victory over the Yankees. With St. Louis potentially losing Joel Pineiro, John Smoltz and Todd Wellemeyer, Penny is sure to fill the void for one of them.
