Brent Celek/ Eagles Agree To Deal
The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement in principle on a six-year contract extension with tight end Brent Celek, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
The extension will be formally announced this week and could be finalized as early as today, sources said. ESPN
This is a great deal for the Eagles (obviously we will find out the dollar amount later, however, I can't believe he's getting overpaid). Celek is an up and coming tight end who could be a safety threat for the Eagles for years to come. I know our friend Greg absolutely is in love with the man (even if his reasons revolve around Tom Selleck) But Celek has had a great year so far with 54 catches for 600 yards and 5 TDs and I only expect him to keep improving especially with the young WRs they have.
