The Bruins are on fire, while the Canadiens are looking to avoid their longest losing streak of the season. Boston has bounced back from a tough start to the season. Thomas loos to be healthy again (and will start again tonight) and has been playing very well making 39 saves last game.
The Bruins have won two in a row during a 6-0-1 stretch that followed a mediocre 8-8-4 start. The Bruins are flat out doing everything better. Their offense is crashing the net, and Savard has given them the playmaker they need since returning from an injury. The goaltending, as mentioned before has been great, and although I think their defense can improve it hasn't been terrible.
Tonight Boston should be able to take care of business, but I don't think it will be easy. It is an old time rivalry, and although the Canadiens aren't what they once were it is still a game Boston should be fired up for.
Game starts at 8pm on NESN.
