"The Boston Bruins are trying to surround Marc Savard with some scorers to boost their offensive production. Keep in mind they have several first round picks, thanks to the Toronto Maple Leafs who sent over two (and a second rounder) for Phil Kessel. But the Boston Herald reports the Bruins don't want to deal those picks.
"We're going to have to do something," coach Claude Julien told the Herald. "Savvy is a guy who should lead our team in points. Somehow you've got to get him some guys who can put the puck in the net. And right now we've got a lot of guys who are probably not consistent in that area (ESPN)."
The Bruins traded away a lot of goals between Kessel and Kobasew, but I still don't see them making a trade until they have Lucic back. The teams just seems to play a lot different when he is in the lineup. Hopefully once he is healthy he will be able to stay healthy, because I really think this team will gel well once Lucic is once again crashing the net.
