"Many folks have referred to Lambeau Field as the "Mecca" of professional football. ESPN.com's Bill Simmons even went on a pilgrimage with Lambeau as the destination in 2006. Well, there's one person who isn't that impressed, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice. Speaking to the press after the game, Rice said, "to be honest with you, it was just Lambeau Field. I didn't see anything special. They put us in the middle of nowhere and it's not a real exciting place. Everything about this place is terrible, to be honest with you (ESPN)."
Well Rice, there is history there. The Packers are one of the most storied franchises in football, and this field has been there throughout most of that history. I am not going to get all pissy about this, but it seems a tad unnecessary. You just lost, Rice personally played like shit, and all you got to say after the game is that you were not impressed by the field? Sweet Rice, why don't you go learn how to step up in a big game?
