Cut Jason Varitek
I have been saying for years and no one has listened to me when I have said, "Cut Jason Varitek!" I know that it will never happen because players and coaches can be idiots and they actually voted this douche to the All-Star game, but a boy can dream. As I am sitting here watch the Sox take on the Twins and in the bottom of the 4th the Sox had the bases loaded with two out and the mighty "Captain" came up to bat, and what does he do? He hits a routine fly ball to centerfielder Carlos Gomez to end the threat of scoring. I told Bob, this post will be actually about Varitek's stats and not how much of a fruitcake he is. Not only is he hitting .218 this season, but he is hitting .191 with runners in scoring position and .172 with two outs and runners in scoring position. I was surprised by it being that high because every time I watch a Sox game, and when there is a crucial hit necessary "Tek" always seems to be the one coming to the plate to get the crucial out (for the other team).
With that being said:
