Packers President Goes To See Favre
ESPN is reporting "Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy traveled to Mississippi to meet with quarterback Brett Favre and his agent James "Bus" Cook on Wednesday, in an apparent attempt to talk Favre out of reporting to camp later this week."
This is not going to work. We all know Favre is coming back, and the Packers can't fold now and make him their starting QB, so they need to bite the bullet and cut him. Obviously the best scenario (other than him staying retired) is to be able to trade him, but the more they wait, the worse this situation is going to get. Packer nation seems to want Favre back, but the front office needs to take notice that the longer they wait to make a move, the harder it will be for Aaron Rodgers. No matter what this is going to be a very long season for the Packers, and it is all because their former hero ruined this organization (and maybe Rodgers career)
