I don't think I have been this excited about a Bruins game all year, as they face the very talented Washington Capitals. The Bruins have been unreal lately winning 14 of their last 16 games, including the 5 game win streak they are on now. Still, don't for a second think this will be an easy game as the Capitals are 10-1-1 at home this season.
The reason I am so pumped for this game is because both teams can put up points. The Bruins are riding Kessel's 12 game point streak (longest in the NHL), while the Caps have one of the best players in the NHL in Ovechkin. Kessel has never scored against Washington, but I think he is just on such a roll right now that nothing will stop him.
Tim Thomas is 8-1-1 against the Capitals in his career, but it looks like Manny Fernandez will be starting this game. Expect Boston to come out hard tonight, since their coach came out and said they got "cute" with a 3 goal lead last game. Trust me Julien doesn't like "cute".
Game is at 7pm on NESN.
