I don't know how true this is, but WFAN is reporting that the Yankees have offered Manny a 3 year $75 million contract. I would think Manny wants a longer deal, but who knows. If he is still pissed at the Red Sox, this would be his best opportunity to get back at them, but it also takes away from that whole "Manny needs his space" way of thinking. If he thought the Boston media was tough, I don't think he is going to find it any better in New York. My hope is that this means that the Sox have won the Mark Teixeira sweepstakes, and that this is the Yankees fall back plan, but who knows. I will get you more information as I hear it.
