Top 25 Under 25: #13 Rajon Rondo

No Point Guard in the NBA exemplifies the meaning of a true point guard more then Rajon Rondo. He has all the tools and makings of the next Jason kidd. In his second year in the NBA he was a major factor in the Celtics championship run, and last year with Kevin Garnett and Leon Powe out he nearly averaged a triple double for the entire playoffs. Every season since being in the league his stats have been climbing.

In 06-07 he averaged 6.4 points, 3.8 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and a .418 shooting percentage.

In 07-08 he averaged 10.6 ppg, 5.1 apg, 4.2 rpg and .492 shooting%.

Last year he averaged 11.9 ppg, 8.2 apg, 5.3 rpg and a remarkable .505 shooting%.

This year I would expect nothing less than 13 ppg, 9 apg, 6rpg and a .515 shooting%. He has all the makings of a star in this league and even with his weird offseason, I believe he is going to be the oil that makes this Celtics team run. It will be interesting to see how he has worked on his game, like shooting mid-range jumpers and free-throws because if he can knock down a mid range shot consistently he will be that much more of an effective player. He will be able to keep defenses honest, and not have teams be able to double Pierce, KG, and Ray. So for that Mr. Rondo, you are the number 13 player on our top 25 under 25.
