Well the Sox have had an exciting day after trading for reliever Billy Wagner, but now it is back to work, as the Sox faceoff once again against the White Sox. Tonight the Sox put Jon Lester on the hill to face Freddy An. Garcia.
Lester is coming off a very strong outing in which he allowed 1 run and 3 hits over 8 innings in a 8-1 win over Toronto on Thursday. It was his first win in 5 starts after failing to receive a decision in his previous 4 outings. Lester has struggled against the White Sox giving up 12 hits over 13 innings against them this year, but this is the first time he will face them at Fenway Park.
The White Sox counter with Freddy An. Garcia, who is making his 2nd start since coming off the DL. Let's just say it didn't go very well last time out, as he allowed 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings of a 5-4 loss to the Royals last Tuesday.
These are the type of games the Sox need to win. On paper Boston should blow them out...
