Tom Brady Injury Update

"During his regularly scheduled appearance on WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan” program this morning (6:40 a.m.), Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he is expecting to play in the season-opener against the Bills, but acknowledged there is a chance he might not. Brady said he fell awkwardly while getting hit by Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth during Friday's exhibition victory, before noting that “any time a 350-pound man lands on you, most people would be a little sore -- which I was.” A source close to the team told the Globe's Chris Gasper on Saturday that Brady is sore, but "there is no need for hysteria (Boston.com)."

I was just as nervous as everyone else, but I really think he will be fine. Even if he didn't get hurt I was not expecting Brady to play in the final preseason game. He has looked great, and there is no reason to risk injury anymore. The Patriots are going to do their thing of being mysterious, and I guarantee that Brady will be on every injury report for the rest of the season, but I do not expect him to miss any time with this shoulder injury. If any news gets out we will let you know...
