Andy Reid To Get Extension

"On Friday, we pointed you to a report from Moving the Chains that indicated that Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's contract will be extended before its expiration at the end of 2010. This morning, Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer has confirmed with Reid's agent, Bob LaMonte, that talks are currently underway, and that both sides want Reid to stick around beyond next season. Brookover does a bit of speculating in saying that the two sides may use New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin's current deal -- around $5.25 million per season -- as a benchmark. Reid's resume is comparable to Coughlin's although the latter does have a Super Bowl ring (ESPN)."

Good to see that the Eagles are trying to keep organization the same. I know Reid hasn't won a Super Bowl, but I still think he is one of the better coaches in the game. The Eagles really have a shot this year to do some damage and as long as McNabb is the QB the Eagles should be in the playoffs every year. Those weapons around McNabb are only going to get better (other then Westbrook). Anyways, he deserves this extension...
