The Red Sox are reportedly one of several teams interested in lefthander Yusei Kikuchi, but will likely proceed with caution in their pursuit of one of the top amateur players in Japan.
The Boston Globe reports that the Red Sox' "tug-of-war" in their previous pursuit of Daisuke Matsuzaka will impact their interest in Kikuchi. ESPN
I'm not really sure about what that last part means, but I do know this kid is going to be a stud. He is 18, he's left handed and he can hit up to 96 mph. I hope the Sox can pull this one off, because how sweet would it be if we had Dice K, Taz and Kikuchi in the start rotation?
