NBA Preview: Washington Wizards

The Wizards went through hell last season. They committed a ton of money to their nucleus ($111 million for Gilbert Arenas, $50 million for Antawn Jamison) only to watch it get injured and the team finish with the worst record in the East (19-63). Now the Wizards are healthy and will finally put the team on the floor that they drew up for last season. I am not an Arenas fan, but if he can play "team" ball players like Jamison and Butler will only get better. This team has young talent with guys like (JaVale McGee, Nick Young, Dominic McGuire). The problem is they have the same weakness the rest of the roster has....no one plays defense!!!

Still, I think the Wizards comeback this season and will be one of the top scoring teams in the NBA. Don't get me wrong they won't be much more then .500, but their scoring alone will kill weaker teams. Watch for Nick Young this season. He is going be the 6th man off the bench and the kid has the tools to be a heck of a player. Also the additions of Mike Miller and Foye should give the Wizards some much needed depth. Foye is capable of playing the PG should Arenas' knee problems come back to haunt him. Miller's 3-point shooting and underrated passing ability should help stretch the defense and provide shots for scorers like Jamison and Butler.

Wizards will make the playoffs this year, but won't go far....

Prediction: 44-38
