NBA Previews: Cleveland Cavaliers

Additions:
Shaq
Anthony Parker
Jamario Moon
Leon Powe

No team had a bigger offseason than the Cavs. Adding Shaq was huge, and adding much needed depth with Moon, Parker and Hard Work was a must. This may be the best team LeBron has ever played for on paper. Obviously LeBron is going to do what he is going to do, but my biggest concern with this team is whether Shaq is going to slow them down or not? We saw what Shaq did to a fast paced team like the Suns when he entered that mix, will he do the same to the Cavs. Cleveland is a very athletic team that draws a lot of points from the fast break, Shaq may be terrible for them that way. However, let's not throw Shaq out the window here, he is one of the most dominating players still in the NBA and can return to prominence with having LeBron drawing double teams constantly. I still would take Shaq one on one down low than against anyone in the league, and since Shaq will be single covered constantly this team could be scary. Mo Williams, Delonte West, Anthony Parker and Boobie Gibson will stretch the court. LeBron and Moon will constantly attack and Shaq, Big Z, Varaejo and Powe will handle the post. I like the Cavs to finish second in the East this year.
