23 Patriots, 20 Chargers

A win is a win as they say, but most of the credit for this New England win should go to the San Diego Chargers who did everything in their power to lose the game. The Patriots improved to 5-1 and beat a "good 2- 5 team", but Patriot fans certainly shouldn't walk away from this game confident.

Four Chargers turnovers helped the Patriots overcome a sputtering offense that generated just 179 yards on the afternoon as Tom Brady was 19-for-32 for 159 yards and a one-yard touchdown.

For 3 quarters the Patriots defense held the explosive Chargers to 3 points. But Behind a hot Philip Rivers, and with the help of a successful onside kick, the Chargers scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to draw to within three points.

This could have made Bill Belichick make another stupid call and go for it on 4th and 1 at the 50. Benny Green Ellis couldn't convert the stretch run and once again put the Chargers in great position to win the game. However, it didn't sting this time as the always reliable shitty kicker Kris Brown to miss the 50 yard field goal and once again the Patriots prevailed.

The Patriots offense certainly needs to play better after the chargers constantly giving them good field position and the coaching staff needs to draw up a better game plan in the 4th.

Next week the the Vikings who are in their own heap of trouble and have just been flat out awful.
