The Giants will place defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka on injured reserve with a herniated cervical disk in his neck. This could be huge news for the Giants, because they are in a tight race in the NFC East, and Kiwanuka led the team in sacks through the first three games. He is also very versatile being able to play on the defensive line and linebacker.
This also is terrible news for Kiwanuka, because he is currently in the last year of his deal and this could really hurt his free agent value.
