Savard Passes Exertion Test

Big news coming out of Boston yesterday as Marc Savard seems to be one step closer to getting back into a Bruins uniform...

"Peter Chiarelli recently told Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe that the center has passed the exertion test that he failed on the first day of training camp back on September 17 (WEEI)."

When coming back from a concussion this is one of the biggest hurdles. This is the same test he failed in training camp, so the fact he can pass it now is huge. We don't know when he will return, but at this point it sounds like it's going to be more about getting him back into game shape, then anything to do with his head, so I would think he will be back within the next 3-5 weeks. The Bruins have been playing well (for the last 2 games anyways), but the boost of Savard would be huge for this offense, especially on the power play.
