"We had word yesterday from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the Green Bay Packers gave Ahman Green a tryout on Monday, owing to the fact that they were displeased with Brandon Jackson as the backup to Ryan Grant. While no official word has yet come through the transaction wire, Journal Sentinel beat writer Greg Bedard has posted on Twitter that Green has inked a one-year deal and will practice today (ESPN)."
We reported yesterday that he had a tryout, and the Packers must have been pleased with what they saw. This won't affect Ryan Grant at all, but Jackson seems to be on his way out. This also gives the Packers some depth since RB DeShawn Wynn is now on the season ending IR. All of this won't matter if the Packers can't find a way to protect Rodgers...
