Polamalu Back This Week?

"Against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Cleveland Browns QB Derek Anderson managed just two pass completions for the game against an injury-depleted defense. If that's not bad enough, his chances for improvement next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers might be taking a hit. Word from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is that Troy Polamalu is looking good to suit up against the Browns on Sunday, in his first game back since spraining his MCL in Week 1. As per the Post-Gazette, Polamalu was on the field prior to Sunday's game in Detroit to stretch with his teammates.

As for any official word, we'll have to wait a day. "I'll tell you on Tuesday," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "I'll be glad when he plays just so you guys can stop asking me about him (ESPN)."

The Steelers defense has been far from anything special this season, but that could (and should) all change when Polamalu is back on the field. He is one of the best defensive players I have ever seen (and that is coming from a guy who HATES the Steelers). We will keep you posted later in the week, but from everything I have read it sounds like he will be back on the field this week...
