"After hearing chants of "We want Vince!" from the crowd throughout the game, Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher finally relented in the fourth quarter, inserting Vince Young into the game to the delight of the folks who hadn't deserted LP Field. Unfortunately, the game was already clearly in hand for the Indianapolis Colts, so it wasn't a great barometer for what No. 10 might be able to do with the Titans' offense. On the other hand, Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean thinks that the calls for VY to replace Kerry Collins as the team's starter are only going to intensify this week. As Cris Collinsworth noted during the telecast last night, the fortunate thing for Tennessee given their QB struggles is that they keep losing, which gives them a shot to take one of the top college QBs in the 2010 draft (ESPN)."
Do I believe in Vince Young? No, but that doesn't make me disagree with the Titans fans. The Titans need to be rebuilt and the first thing you want to do before starting the rebuilding process is evaluate what you have on your team. You know what you're going to get from Collins and at this point his career is not going to suddenly take off. The truth is you have no idea what you are going to get from Vince Young. I am not sold he is going to be anything special, but you need to find out now, because the Titans are looking like they are going to have a top 5 pick, and their are going to be a lot of top notch QBs in next years draft, so with that being said the Titans need to find out if Vince Young is the future. Now is the time to find out what this kid can do...
