Roethlisberger Will Play Vs. Ravens

"Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to play this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. Roethlisberger took a knee to the head in last week's overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tomlin, speaking at his weekly news conference, confirmed that Roethlisberger suffered a concussion but the quarterback passed all the neurological tests on Monday.

"I met with Ben yesterday; he felt normal and he felt fine," Tomlin said. "The battery of tests that he took showed that he showed no symptoms. So we will continue to monitor his condition and where he is on a day-to-day basis and let that guide our decision making. But as I sit here today, he is symptom free and feeling fine. So we anticipate Ben practicing tomorrow (ESPN)."

Roethlisberger is having a hell of a year and is one of the best QBs in the NFL, not to mention probably a Hall of Famer, but this is what I worry about with him. One of Roethlisberger best attributes is that fact that he can break tackles and extend the play. The problem with that is he is going to take big shots. There is no doubt that Roethlisberger deserves all the credit in the world, but I worry that he won't last long in the NFL. Pittsburgh's offensive line is questionable at best, and with the way Big Ben plays this probably won't be his last concussion.
