Ward Calls Out Roethlisberger
"In a taped interview that aired on NBC prior to the Pittsburgh Steelers' loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward called QB Ben Roethlisberger's manhood into question.
Indicating that it was "almost like a 50-50 tossup in the locker room" regarding whether No. 7 should've played a week after suffering a concussion, Ward continued by saying, "I've been out there dinged up. The following week, got right back out there." Ward also noted the importance of the game, and why every player should be on the field if there's even a shred of a possibility they could play: "I don't think guys really worry about the future when they're playing currently in the NFL. Trust me, the players want to go out there because these games you don't get back. You're never going to get this Baltimore-Pittsburgh game back. This is a big game (ESPN)."
This funny because I said that Ward looked pissed off the whole game, which is odd since he is usually smiling nonstop. I have to say I am on Roethlisberger's side on this. He has played through injury before, and after seeing what happens to NFL players after they retire from these concussions I don't blame him for being cautious. Anyways, Ward should know better then to call out his QB to the media...he is better then that.
