85 Celtics, 76 Heat

Defense!!!

The Jay-Z line should really go, "If jeezy's paying LeBron, the Celtics are paying TA" because Tony Allen played unbelievable and did things many people couldn't do and that was shut down Dwayne Wade.

The Celtics were down 14 at one point of this game, but finished on an unbelievable defensive run holding Miami to 10 points in the forth. The Celtics for the first 30 minutes looked uninspired, but turned it on at the end of the 3rd and to close out the game. Rajon was sick with the flu but still managed 10 assists, Tony Allen was sick and managed to have the game of his life. KG and Paul Pierce had great games and everything was going smoothly until 40 seconds in the game.

I hate that I even have to write this nonsense but it was a major and unnecessary part of the game. With 40 seconds left in the game Paul Pierce was being guarded by Quintin Richardson (turned into my least favorite NBA player) and Udonis Haslem and was blatantly being fouled and actually got pushed into the ref but no call and as he was falling he had a shoulder stinger and was laying in front of the Heat bench in pain. KG ran up to give him some room from the Heat bench and to make sure he was ok, when Q came up to KG and started talking some "nonsense" than a bunch of mayhem happened including pushing and shoving and a vicious elbow to Q's face from KG. (since the NBA has suspended both Ray Allen and Dwight Howard for elbows, I expect KG to be suspended for game 2) It eventually got broken up but Miami may have got the better end of this if/when KG gets suspended. Paul Pierce is ok, and explained the injury as a stinger, and said he's been having a problem all year with it. Meanwhile, the history of Q and Pierce getting on each others nerves remain in tact.

Other than that, this was a great game. big Baby and TA both stepped up completely, and you have to commend Doc for leaving TA in their down the stretch. I don't see Wade getting shut down like this anymore, but a boy can dream.
