Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli has just announced that center Marc Savard has fully recovered from a concussion and has been cleared to play. Chiarelli said Savard met with an independent neurologist and the team's medical staff, and they say the veteran is ready to join the Bruins for the 2nd round of the playoffs.
This is huge for the Bruins. Savard is by far the Bruins best offensive player, and with him back out there the power-play should immediately get better. It is good the Bruins took care of business last night, because now it buys Savard some time to get in shape, and get back into the flow of the offense.
