The Bruins are up 3-2 in the series against Buffalo, but the news could be getting even better as Marc Savard will get word from doctors today, and if they give him the go he can play as early as tonight. As we speak is undergoing another neuropsych test and if that turns out fine he'll be ready to play tonight...
“If you’re asking me, yeah, I could play,’’ said Savard, knowing that he gets only partial say in the matter, and no say at all if he flunks Neuropsych 101. “But if it means I’m watching another one, then that’s what it’s going to be.’’
The Bruins would become a very dangerous team with Savard back on the ice. Not only is he their best offensive player, but he also runs that powerplay unit, which has been a problem since he hit the shelf. I really hope that he is able to come back, and what a boost it would be the Bruins, not for just this round, but maybe for a longer run.
