99 Celtics, 76 Hawks
Remember when the Hawks were our "rival", yea, me neither.
BMack gave them too much credit when he said that they were going to get 87 points.
The first quarter really set the tempo of the game as the Celtics dominated every main statistic of the game and Kevin Garnett made his presence known. They outscored the Hawks 39-13, shot a ridiculous 72 percent from the field (18-25), committed just two turnovers, and out-rebounded the Hawks 16-3. That's stupid. The defense needs to get some credit also with the Hawks 4-17 shooting (23.5 percent). They constantly pressured the ball and contested every shot that went up.
Nate Robinson (16 points, 10 assists), Kevin Garnett (17 points, 11 rebounds), and Shaquille O'Neal (13 points, 11 rebounds) all notched double-doubles for Boston. Shaq was incredibly effective in the first quarter, scoring six points, while grabbing five rebounds.
It was a great bounce back game figuring what happened over the weekend.
