Hey, Those Celtics are pretty good!
The Celtics passed their first test of the Early season with flying colors. If it wasn't for a hiccup against Cleveland and brainfart with 2 minutes left in the Dallas game this could be an undefeated season. However, they are 8-2 and that's alright.
The injuries with the O'Neals was expected and the Celtics have overcame that. We are still wondering what it would be like with both O'Neals on the court at the same time. However, Big Baby and Semih Erdan have picked up the slack, they haven't missed a beat and have attacked the paint no matter who they throw there.
The thing I have been most impressed with this season is the team chemistry. Even the new guys seem to have accepted their role and look as if they were playing together for seasons upon seasons. Shaq has been a great addition, other than his antics, his play on the court has been great. he had 18 the other day, but he has embraced the enforcer role and he was quoted, he doesn't give up fucking layups.
This shouldn't be a surprise but Rondo has really taken his game to another level. Every game he seems to have a silly stat line, he is averaging 11 points, 5 boards, and an astounding 15 assists per game, and chips in with about 3 steals a game also. I know people chalk him up to the hall of famers that play around him, however, if you asked Doc who he would least see get hurt on the team, Rondo would be the answer.
The scary thing about the Celtics is that they still aren't full strength. Delonte is coming back after this game and will be a major upgrade to Von Wafer and be the primary PG in the second unit as Nate Robinson is more of a 2 anyways. I like Delonte a lot and he could be a perfect fit with the Cs.
Oh yea, the big 3 is doing what they should at an extremely high level. KG has more spring with his rebounding, ray Allen is shooting 45% from behind the line and Pierce is doing what Pierce does. Be the clutch guy.
As long as this foot doesn't start to hold back, nothing can stop them.
