Vince Young Put On Season Ending IR

Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Vince Young needs season-ending surgery on his throwing hand. Not that being healthy would have kept the quarterback in the Titans' starting lineup.

Young saw a hand specialist Monday, and Fisher said team doctors recommended the surgery to repair Young's torn flexor tendon in his right thumb. Young was injured late in the third quarter of Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss to Washington. ESPN

It looks like the big decision after this year is on Bud Adams, who has to choose between Jeff Fisher and Vince Young. It is hard to believe that Fisher can co-exist with a player he believes ran out on his team on Sunday.

This is what Adams said about the incident.
"I just want them to get over it," said Adams of the recent controversy. "It is like you made the wrong turn and went down the wrong highway and you were upset because someone caused you to do it, but when it is all over with you didn't have a wreck. You just have to sleep on it and do better the next day."

On any other team it would obviously be Fisher that gets selected, but Bud Adams has always had Vince Young's back and this could get interesting.
