Roger Goodell Thinks Rookies Make Too Much
“There’s something wrong about the system,” Goodell said Friday. “The money should go to people who perform.” and "And that money is not going to players that are performing. It's going to a player that never makes it in the NFL. And I think that's ridiculous." Well Duh Dictator Goodell. Goodell was refering to recent number one pick Chris Long's five-year, $57.75 million contract, with $30 million guaranteed.
You have to agree with Goodell here, but a little too late on his part. I know he probably will not be able to do anything because Gene Upshaw and the players union will not pass anything. I have to admit I like basketball rookie contracts and how they are capped for a certain amount of money.
