From ESPN: "The New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of a trade that will send Richard Jefferson to the Bucks for forwards Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons, according to NBA front-office sources."
Well that was quick stay for Yi. He didn't want to go to the Bucks anyways.
For Bucks: They get a talented player in Richard Jefferson and get rid of a bad player in Yi and mediocre player in Bobby Simmons. Richard won't have any controversy around him and if they keep Michael Redd (which I don't think will happen with this trade) they will have a good nucleus of Redd, Bogut, and Jefferson.
For Nets:
Maybe a change of scenery will make Yi more productive and with a young core of Yi, Williams, Harris and Boone they have a bright future. The deal also gave them 10 million dollars of cap space in a year. Only if they could now dump Vince Carter they will have a lot of money to spend on Lebron in 2010.
Also:
The Clippers and the Sonics made a deal in which the Clippers get the number 4 pick and the Sonics get the number 7 and the Clips 1rst pick in 2009.
