Willie Randolph Gets The Axe
Well we all new this was going to happen. The Mets have been terrible this year figuring they have all the talent in the world and they just keep losing. He has a 34-35 record and was currently on a two game losing streak, when the 3 am call came to him. Jerry Manuel now takes over as interim manager of the Mets for the rest of the season. Here is a look at his career:
• Fourth season with Mets (bench coach since 2006)
• 500-471 record in six seasons as White Sox manager ('98-03)
• 2000 American League Manager of the Year
• Bench coach for World Series champion Marlins in 1997 under Jim Leyland
So good luck Mets, this should have happened 6 weeks earlier.
