Daily Red Sox Spring Training Update

- Lester finally signed that 5 year contract. Rejoice!

- Lugo will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee tomorrow in Boston, a procedure the team expects will keep him sidelined until roughly Opening Day. It will take him a little while to get back, so for now Lowrie has won the starting SS gig.

- Pedroia's injury is not bad at all and he should be back on the field in a couple of days.

Baltimore 6 Boston 2

- Buccholz finally let up his first run of spring training, but still looked awesome going 3 2/3 letting up 4 hits with 6 Ks. The rumor going around is that he will be the 5th starter to open the season.

- Papelbon also let up his first run of spring training.

- Mike Lowell once again looked good, and had another hit. He looks like he is going to be fine, and his hip doesn't seem to be bothering him.

- Delcarmen and Okajima both threw a scoreless inning. The Sox bullpen has been awesome so far, and I really think that will be a real strength for them during the regular season.
