Billy Gillispie Is Out At Kentucky
Billy Gillispie is out as coach of Kentucky in his second season at the helm, and the school has called a 4:30 p.m. news conference to announce the change.
School officials had been quiet about Gillispie's job status after the Wildcats tumbled through the second half of the season to finish 22-14, tied for the second-most losses in the program's 106-year history.

On Wednesday, Kentucky's postseason ended with a loss to Notre Dame in the National Invitation Tournament quarterfinals.
Kentucky's 20 regular-season wins weren't enough to get a bid into the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1991. ESPN
Kentucky needs to chill the fuck out. They get rid of Tubby Smith for no reason, and now they get rid of Gillespie for no real reason. A lot of the Kentucky fans are living in the past to the Jamal Mashburn, Antoine Walker, Tony Delk years, and guess what? Those teams, aren't coming back. Recruiting is tougher, the NCAA guidelines are stricter, and you can't get a recruit by dropping off 30 grand in a duffel bag at the kids house anymore. I really hope they can wiggle Sean Miller away from Xavier.
