Dick Cheney, Chuck Norris, Barack Obama, even Alabama football coach Nick Saban, each wound up as a balloted write-in during last week's Student Government Association elections at the University of Alabama.
But when Crimson Tide wide receiver Julio Jones wound up with the required number of write-in votes for a senate seat representing the College of Human Environmental Sciences, it was different.
Jones is a UA student. His academic standing is good enough, and his major falls under that college, which made him eligible to serve.
Julio Jones may be my favorite player in college football now, however, c'mon man. You know you have way better thing to do, or hoes to bang than being stuck going to a student senate seat representing the College of Human Environmental Sciences. UA is almost asking for a let down by letting him do this. Oh well, he's still the man.
