"Manny Ramirez is having a hard time getting started because of a sore left hamstring. The Los Angeles Dodgers slugger aggravated his balky hamstring Sunday while playing the outfield for the first time this spring (ESPN)."
I could have called this one. If a player misses the early stages of spring training it always seems like they get hurt. It happens in football too. This type of injury can linger for a long time, and what sucks for the Dodgers is that they are in the NL, so he needs to be near 100% since he has to play the outfield. Manny is a notoriously slow starter, so I expect him to struggle till about July, just long enough for everyone to think he is over the hill, then he'll hit about .400 the rest of the season and be an MVP candidate. Asshole.
