All This Jordan/ LeBron Talk Must Have Got In LeBron's Head

Saying he is willing to initiate the movement, LeBron James would like to see any NBA player who wears No. 23 to choose another number in homage to Michael Jordan.

With Jordan looking on from a third-row seat Thursday night, James scored 34 points to help the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Heat 111-104 in Miami. Afterward, in what was an impromptu plea, James said he plans to switch his number from 23 to 6 after this season.

"I just think what Michael Jordan has done for the game has to be recognized some way soon," James told TNT. "There would be no LeBron James, no Kobe Bryant, no Dwyane Wade if there wasn't Michael Jordan first. ESPN

A little bit of rant here so walk with me:

First of all LeBron if you cared so fucking much about MJ you wouldn't have ever worn 23. Stop pretending to be this person who is a "student of the game" and call it what it is. You are going to change your number because every LeBron fan is going to have to buy a new jersey, thus making you more fucking money. Stop acting noble and just say, I want to make more money. Another reason I believe he wants to change his number is because he realizes now he can't fill MJ's shoes. When you wear the number 23, you represent greatness, something LeBron can't handle. And if you were such a student of the game you wouldn't associate Dr. J with the number 6, no disrespect to Dr. J, but the real number 6 he should idolize is Bill Russell. Remember him? You know the guy with more rings than fingers, the first black head coach, the first black coach to win a championship. So fuck off LeBron, and stop pretending to be this noble person, when you are greed driven. Also, who the fuck do you think you are saying players shouldn't wear the number 23? MJ was a great player, arguably the greatest, and won 6 rings but he didn't do anything that Kobe, Shaq or Tim Duncan has done. MJ didn't break the color barrier like Jackie's 42. MJ will be remembered in the record books, and by word of mouth, stop being a spokesperson for the fucking NBA. Go to New York and rot.
