Celtics Greatest Defensive Team Ever?

"The Celtics' defensive prowess has been a big talking point so far this year. Earlier this week, Doc Rivers told NBA.com he's shooting for '85 Bears territory with his team. "When you say the '85 Bears, most people say 'Greateset defense ever' or 'One of the best defenses ever,'" Rivers said Tuesday. "It's a good goal for us, because if you can achieve that, then all the other stuff usually happens for you." So are there any statistics to back up their play so far? Consider this, from Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston: "With Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves, the Celtics became the first team in NBA history to start the season 6-0 and hold teams under 90 points in each game since the 1947-48 Baltimore Bullets accomplished that feat in the days of the Basketball Association of America." As ESPN affiliate site Celtics Hub notes, it's early, and the teams the C's have played have mediocre offensive efficiency ratings at best. But the numbers are backing up the hype so far, no doubt (ESPN)."

It is way to early to be having this conversation, but fuck it. The Celtics have been on real, and other then the game against the Timberwolves I have been impressed with this defense every game. I actually do believe this will go down as one of the best defensive teams ever assembled, as long has they can stay healthy. Once again, it is a long season and it is way to early to discuss such things...
