Hamels/Myers Clash

"After a frustrating loss in Game Three, the Phillies' Cole Hamels let it slip that he "can't wait for (the season) to end." The comments did not sit well with manager Charlie Manuel -- and at least one teammate. Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports reports that pitcher Brett Myers and Hamels had a "short but tense" confrontation in clubhouse following the Game Five win over the Yankees. As Myers walked past Hamels near Hamels' locker he said, mocking, "What are you doing here? I thought you quit." Brown reports that Hamels responded with an expletive. Myers then was guided away by a team official before the situation could escalate (ESPN)."

I don't think for a second that Hamels is quitting on his team. He is having an off year, and I don't blame him for wanting it to be over. That was just frustration, and I find it hilarious that Myers is the one who called him out. Myers sucks, and has been in trouble for hitting his wife, so who the fuck cares what he says. Hamels is something special, and could still end up being the hero if this series going 7 games.
