I may get rashed on by all of you, but I think the smartest move the Sox should make(other than firing Francona) would be to trade Josh Beckett. Let's face it, he isn't that pitcher everyone hope he would be, and has only really had one good season with the Red Sox, and that was back in 07. He doesn't seem to have that fire anymore, and dwindles down at the end of the season and hasn't been that intense hero come playoff time. I can't guage who we could possibly get for him, but we could get a lot of top prospects or maybe a bat or 2. He is going to be a free agent next year, and I don't want him on my team. In the four years he has been with the Sox he has a combined 4.04. Not that great. You can use the World Series defense, but he has sucked the past two playoffs. So that's my rant and I'm sticking to it.
