Troy Polamalu Injury Update

"Earlier this season, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu missed four games with an MCL injury, and on Sunday, he re-injured the same knee. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Polamalu underwent an MRI following the game on Sunday, and that he's expected to miss a few weeks, if not the rest of the season. Appearing on SportsCenter on Monday morning, NFL Insider Adam Schefter noted that the injury was not quite as severe as the first one (ESPN)."

I would be shocked if he is out the rest of the year, but I do question how long this guy can stay on the field. This is all terrible news for Pittsburgh, since they are just a completely different defense when this guy isn't flying around the field. I don't think it sinks their season, but it would be damn tough for them to get through teams like Indy, New England, ect if they are missing Polamalu. We'll let you know when we hear more.
