Well tonight we embark on the Celtics championship tour and the first victim is Miami.
The line ups are:
PG C. Arroyo R. Rondo
SG D. Wade R. Allen
SF Q. Richardson P. Pierce
PF M. Beasley K. Garnett
C J. Anthony K. Perkins
Obviously the Celtics have the giant advantage in three spots, the PG position, SF and depth. The Celtics have the better team out of these two on paper, however, Miami has been rolling into the playoffs and has Dwayne Wade.
I'm not going to focus on Dwayne Wade because he is going to get his points, I care about stopping O'Neal, Beasley, and Udonis Haslem. If we can play solid D on those three players, we will be fine. But if one of them goes off we will most likely lose the game.
Tony Allen, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce will be rotating on Wade. I like having Tony on him for spurts because he is a physical defender and will make Wade work to get to the hoop. but the C's need to be extra careful that they rebound the damn ball and limit the heat to one shot per possession. If perk, baby, Sheed and KG do their job on the glass this game will be a lot easier because Miami misses a lot of shots.
On offense the Celtics have to make their shots count. Miami plays a lot of zone defense so that will lead the C's to get open looks from deep. We have to make them pay when that happens. Hopefully a lot of the shots will find Pierce and Allen rather than Rasheed.
Rondo also will be able to take advantage of whoever is guarding him. Hopefully he remains aggressive and not timid.
Celtics will win this series 4-1
