Angels @ Red Sox Preview

Sox have taken the first 3 from the Angels in a 4 game series. Boston goes for the sweep tonight, but to be honest they will be happy if they can just get a strong outing from Dice-K.

In his first start of the season he got lit up, but he did pitch well the first couple innings, so there is reason to believe that he can bounce back. Matsuzaka is 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA in two starts against the Angels in his career. To be honest, I have no idea how he is going to do tonight. You would think the Angels will have enough pride not to get swept, but they do look like a much different team then the one that has been dominating the AL West for some time.

The Angels counter with Kazmir. The Red Sox should be familiar with the former Rays starter, but he has actually fared pretty well against the Sox (8-7 3.59 ERA). Kamir allowed two runs and struck out seven in six innings while not receiving a decision in a 3-2 loss to Detroit on Saturday, but overall hasn't been very good this year.

Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I think Dice-K does enough to get the win tonight.
