Red Sox @ Rays Preview
After an impressive weekend in Philly Boston now needs to go to Tampa and "do work". Do I have a lot of faith that they are ready for this? No, but at least they are starting to pitch better.
Tonight we get Wade Davis vs. Clay Buchholz. Two young arms that have had a lot of hype, and both are doing a good job this season. Davis is 4-3 with a 3.35 ERA, while Clay is 5-3 with a 3.36 ERA. If Clay limits his walks he is almost unstoppable, so it should be obvious early on is he is "on" or not.
Boston main focus should be getting Davis out of the game. I am not sold on the Rays bullpen, so if we can get to them by the 6th I will have a good feeling for the rest of the game. The problem is the Rays have a hell of a lineup and they are once again going to run all over the Sox. Maybe I am a homer, but I got Boston winning tonight...
