"There have been discussions," agent Frank Bauer told the Boston Herald regarding an extension for his client Logan Mankins. "We're pretty far apart. Let's leave it at that." In spite of that gap, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft remains committed to hanging on to Mankins. "Our people are working on that," Kraft said, per Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com. "I really hope Logan will be with us for the long-term. That's our objective."
Mankins is one of the better lineman in the NFL and I really think the Patriots need this guy back. Over the past couple season the patriots have turned into a pass-happy team. If that's the way they want to play then they are going to need a hell of an offensive line, so signing Mankins is a must.
