Diamondbacks @ Red Sox Preview
If the Sox win tonight that will be 10 consecutive non-losing series, which is a lot better then they were playing early in the season, and better yet they are doing it with a lot of guys injured.
Boston should be able to get it done with their ace Jon Lester on the hill. Lester is 7-2 with a 3.18 ERA, and if it wasn't for his tough start to the year everyone in the league would be talking about how well he has been playing. Lester has never faced the Diamondbacks, but is 6-1 with a 2.77 ERA in 11 starts versus the minor league (oops I mean NL) opponents. Lester did get roughed up last time out, but before that he had gone 7-0 with a 1.41 ERA over his previous eight starts.
The Diamondbacks counter with my arch enemy Rodrigo Lopez. If you can remember he was a long time Oriole and used seemingly kill the Sox every time they played each other. Overall he is 10-9 against the Sox with a 4.53 ERA, but there was a time when he was a real pain for the Sox. Thankfully that time is over and I expect the Sox to take care of business tonight.
