Brad Biggs of the National Football Post is reporting that Packers' TE Jermichael Finley's recovery time, initially diagnosed at as low as three weeks, "will be more like six to 10 weeks and if it's at that outer limit, Finley's availability for the season will be very much in doubt (CBS Sports)."
I don't know what to think of this, because up until this point everything I read is that he would be back in 2-4 weeks. If this is true it is obviously a big blow to the Packers.
The good news is there is already another reporter refuting this report. Though the timeline might be extended for this return, he shouldn't miss the rest of the season.
If that wasn't bad enough, reports came out earlier today that it is unlikely that that there is "pessimism" that Clay Matthews will be on the field Sunday, which could spell trouble for a defense that is already having trouble getting pressure on the QB.
The only good news is that there seems to be more "optimism" that Aaron Rodgers will play Sunday.
***UPDATE***
I was wrong it seems Finley will miss the rest of the season...
"Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley indicated via Twitter that he'll miss the rest of the 2010 season with his knee injury."
