The Bruins have beat the Capitals twice already this year and have outscored them at total of 7-2. The Bruins are rolling so well right now I am almost waiting for something to go wrong, but until then let's enjoy the ride.
Obviously Boston is winning because of the great play of Tim Thomas, but it doesn't just stop their. Their penalty kill has been amazing, and players like Horton, Lucic, Bergeron, Krejci, and Ryder (surprise!) have been playing up to expectations.
The Captials are a great offensive team, but with the way the Bruins defense/goaltending have been playing I think they can shut them down, and the difference from last year is the Bruins actually have enough offense to win these games.
I say let the good times keep rolling. The Bruins are a much more physical team, they have a better goalie, and their defense is maybe the best in the NHL. That all ends up to the Bruins shutting down the Capitals once again.
